Back in 2001, Green Horizon started off as a simple idea – sustainable building solutions. We wanted to help families live greener lives, with better home health and lower energy bills. It seemed so simple that originally we offered just a handful of services.

How things have changed! From our first inception to today, we’ve added more and more services. Our reasoning was this – when we looked at a new product or service we asked “Would it make the homes of our customers greener? Would it make them healthier and/or more comfortable? Would it reduce their energy bills?” If the answer was yes, we added it to our menu of offerings.

That’s why we’re so pleased to announce that we’re now offering Duct Cleaning Services!

During our Home Performance Assessments, we were faced again and again with problems with duct work – either leaky, poorly installed or duct work that was filthy and blocked with debris. The last category was causing significant problems for homeowners – build up of dust, hair, debris, and in some cases, mold, was causing families a lot of distress and forcing HVAC units to work overtime to push air through the home. Rather than work with sub-contractors, we wanted to offer it as part of our “whole home” approach to healthier, more sustainable homes and so, duct cleaning and inspection became a priority for us.
