Winston's Grille
Location: Raleigh, NC
Date: Summer 2008
Project Length: 4 Weeks
Annual Water Savings: 175,000 gallons
The owners of Winston's Grille in Raleigh wanted to reduce their reliance on city water. They came to Green Horizon for a water capture system. With the help of architects Komanski and Tolson and Isaac Panzerella from Creative Design, Winston's is able to capture all of the water from their 8,000 sq. ft. roof and store it in an 18,100 CorGal tank with an attractive Red Cedar Wrap. The system is not only effective and efficient, but it's a visible and attractive demonstration of Winston's Grille's commitment to community sustainability.
The collaboration between Winston's Grille and GH hit the headlines too - learn more about the green restaurant project at WRAL. Take a look at our Rainwater Harvesting services to check out how you can help preserve our community's water and lower your bills at the same time.
